Roque de Garachico

El Roque de Garachico is an islet of volcanic geological formation of basaltic flows that has been isolated due to the retreat of the coast by marine erosion. Its vegetation is sparse, with a majority presence of teasels and tabaibas. Its walls are a nesting point and refuge for various migratory birds and others that are threatened, such as the Bulwer’s Petrel, the Lesser Shearwater or the Madeira storm petrel.
