Restaurante La Cueva

A restaurant located in a cave called La Cueva or the cave. It is a traditional Canarian eatery, guachinche, and of course the restaurant’s menu includes typical dishes from Canarian cuisine. Various salads, cheeses and local dishes potaje, escaldón, garbanzas, ropa vieja, carne fiesta. Local desserts quesillo, polvito uruguayo and mousse de gofio. These traditional home dining guachinches originated in the 1950s, when winegrowers decided to start offering leftover wine in their homes. For this purpose, dining rooms were built in the houses.
