Museo de Malvasía
Back to all places
If you have decided to buy wine in the wine capital, be sure to go out and visit the institution called Museo de Malvasia, the entrance of which is opposite the seven-branched tree, or candlestick. Nothing in the Malvasia wine museum is cheap, but I dare to confirm that this product is genuine, because the museum is run by the Malvasia makers themselves.
Malvasia is the queen of grapes in the Canary Islands, and its kingdom is located on the island of La Palma; but this is not an obstacle for its cultivation to spread to the rest of the Fortunate Islands. And that happens on the wonderful island of Tenerife, where the love of wine comes from its deepest ancestors. Entering through the doors of this store-museum is moving to a world where the passion for wine completely absorbs you. It is a beautiful shop where, together with the wine, those small details that make the world of oenology great are displayed. Portraits of poets, writers, artists, researchers and adventurers who have paid tribute to wine throughout history, populate the walls of this wonderful oenological museum that pays homage to the queen of Canarian grapes: La Malvasia.
