Mirador Túnel de Anaga

Mirador Túnel de Anaga is a magical corner, dreamy and somewhat ghostly especially when the mist slips through the branches of the trees. The waypoint shows you the small picnic place. Opposite the road there is a sign for hiking track "El Bailadero". The ascent uphill is moderate, takes not more than 10 minutes. You will reach to awesome tunnel made of tree brances on the mountain ridge.

The site is special for many reasons. The entrance is a road that emerges from a literal cut in a mountain. In a surprising way, the trees above head are forming a vault that prevents you from seeing the sky at times. The walls are green, humid, the roots dare to emerge from the earth, red, thick and full of life. At first, it is somewhat scary, but at the same time it fills you with peace, which we need on so many occasions of chaos and daily stress. I think it is a good place to breathe for 10 minutes, calm down and only then move on.
