Back to all placesAnaga National Park visitor center is open from 9.30 to 16.
There is an exhibition centre and information on 13 walks. There’s also an excellent cafe, a chapel and ample parking, as well as a restaurant on the far side of the road.
If you have decided to enjoy the beauties of Anaga and you plan to walk one of its trails, we encourage you to follow the following recommendations:
When coming with your own vehicle, remember that within the limits of the Anaga Rural Park there are no gas stations. The last ones where you can refuel before entering Anaga are on the Las Mercedes highway (TF-12) and on the San Andrés highway (TF-11) between Valleseco and María Jiménez.
Always walk along the network of marked trails : they are the ones with the greatest guarantee of safety and quality. Remember that, in any case, any activity in nature carries risks.
Respect the way of life, the privacy and the properties of the people who inhabit this place. Especially avoid traveling on roads of private farms.
Take all your waste, including organic waste, to the containers located in the areas connected by road. This will prevent the proliferation of pests.
Do not disturb the living beings that you find on your way. Avoid making noise and do not collect items from the environment. In nature, life develops in balance, so anything you remove from its place can be a significant loss.
It is forbidden to circulate on the trails with bicycles and motor vehicles; they damage the road surface and pose a danger to people walking on foot.
Prepare your walk taking into account the necessary physical conditions and the hours of daylight available to complete the trail with sufficient visibility.
Take sunscreen, a hat, a raincoat, water, food, a flashlight, a first aid kit and a mobile phone with a charged battery in your backpack.
Keep in mind that Anaga has very steep areas, exposed to rain and wind. There is a danger of falls. Extreme precautions.
Before going for a walk, check the weather forecast. It is recommended that you always bring both replacement clothes and something warm. Choose suitable footwear for hiking.
